According to In-Stat (via ZDNet), digital cable set-top shipments increased 75% from 15.6 million units in 2005 to 27.5 million units in 2006. And the US with still two years to go before the digital TV transition.
As a reference point, Motorola shipped 10 million digital set-tops last year. That’s more than one third of digital set-tops worldwide.
