People will always find a way to make a buck. Jeff Baumgartner points out that Motorola DVRs with integrated security (i.e. non-CableCARD compliant) are showing up on eBay. Worse, someone’s buying them. Word to the wise, these set-tops won’t work unless activated at the cable headend, and no operator is going to activate one without the promise of monthly revenue.
In other words, save your money.
