
Paul Kagan wins the prize for best event title: The QAM Before the Storm. This is the second year for this mini-show, which is coordinated through the SCTE’s Emerging Technologies conference in January. Panels include:

It’s easy to lose track of January industry events in the inevitable post-CES fatigue, but the SCTE show (including the Kagan subsidiary) tends to be a good one for content. Last year the top technologies of discussion were IP video, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and digital rights management (DRM).
