TeliaSonera Reaches More Than 276K IPTV Subscribers

Bob Larribeau reports that TeliaSonera now has more than 276 thousand IPTV subscribers, in large part due to a big push in Sweden during the third quarter of this year. In comparison, AT&T announced in September that it had reached 100 thousand IPTV subscribers in the US via its U-verse service.
Both TeliaSonera and AT&T use Motorola IPTV set-tops, and in fact TeliaSonera received Motorola’s two millionth IPTV set-top shipped in September. However, the operators use different software platforms. TeliaSonera uses Motorola’s KreaTV software, while AT&T uses Microsoft’s IPTV platform.
Info on the KreaTV software development kit (SDK) here.
