Cynthia Brumfield picked up a story this morning on a field study AT&T did showing cable subscribers’ Internet speeds averaging well below the promised six to eight Mbps throughput. The Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council Europe event officially kicks off tomorrow, and to drum up excitement, the Council has leaked early information from a report showing that there are now more than one million FTTH subscribers throughout Europe.
