Back from the Labor Day holiday with more IPTV news. After last week’s late revelation of the U-verse whole-home DVR launch, there’s official Motorola IPTV news out this week with Deutsche Telekom. The German telco will be using Motorola VIP1616E HD set-tops for its “T-Home Entertain” service. I have to admit I haven’t paid close attention to Deutsche Telekom’s IPTV offering, but Bob Larribeau has been tracking the operator as he does every IPTV provider. From Larribeau’s Telco IPTV View blog, Deutsche Telekom’s recent IPTV feature additions include:
- Bundled radio service with the basic IPTV package
- Bundesliga soccer (er, football) games with interactive features
- Warner Studios films on-demand as soon as they are released on DVD
And of course all of the above is on top of DVR and standard video-on-demand services.
