The hardware launches at the SCTE show continue. Today, Motorola announced a new all-digital, HD set-top, the DCX700. The bottom line with the DCX700 is flexibility. It supports MPEG-2 and MPEG-4, and can be configured with MoCA to act as a client set-top in a multi-room DVR network. Rounding out the top-line specs, the DCX700 has a 1 GHz tuner, HDMI support, and Dolby Digital Plus. It’s also cost-effective for operators making the transition to all-digital networks.
