We’re continuing to ring in the New Year! Today we rang the opening bell to celebrate the launch of Motorola Mobility on the NYSE! Over the past several months, you have been seeing the “MOTOROLA MOBILITY. GET READY,” branding. Well, today Motorola Mobility has officially announced it separated into two independent, publicly traded companies.
Motorola Mobility, comprises the Mobile Devices and Home businesses, and Motorola Solutions, comprises the Enterprise Mobility Solutions and Networks businesses. The Motorola Mobility business will own the Motorola brand and license it royalty-free to Motorola Solutions, and Motorola Mobility’s shares began trading this morning on the NYSE under the ticker symbol “MMI.”
