Motorola Mobility, President Dan Moloney was interviewed by Maria Bartiromo on CNBC Closing Bell today. The interview began as a tie-in to the Cable Show, serving as an excellent opportunity for Dan to share news of the launch of Motorola’s Televation in-home streaming technology. Dan pointed out the complimentary role Motorola’s mobile devices like the Motorola XOOM are, and will continue to play, in bridging the home space with the mobile space.
Along the lines of convergence, Dan also pointed out that Motorola Mobility’s evolving technology allows consumers to take the content from their home out of the home and noted that while the technology is present, the only issue holding delivery of content back is content rights.
Dan also explained that Motorola Mobility stands out in the crowded mobile devices space through its strategy of evolving and innovating on top of the success it has had with Android technology and delivering a wider array of enterprise- and media-supportive devices as well as a wider variety of screen sizes. Dan’s closing remarks were strong, circling back on Motorola Mobility’s unique ability to serve up technology that is bridging the home and mobile worlds.
